Leanne has been helping students achieve their post-secondary goals since becoming a school counselor in 2012. After completing her graduate studies at Villanova University, she has guided hundreds of students and their families through the college planning and application process at a nationally recognized public high school in the greater Philadelphia area. She is the leader of her department and helped facilitate many programs for her students and families on topics such as college essay writing, standardized testing, the college application process, financial aid and more.
Leanne discovered her passion for working with high school students as an undergraduate ambassador for the admissions department at her alma mater, Temple University. In fact, it was remembering how much she loved connecting with students and discussing their hopes and dreams for the future that inspired her to leave a promising career in advertising to help others in a more personal and meaningful way.
Some unique aspects of Leanne’s training include her experience working at an International Baccalaureate high school where students participate in a rigorous academic program and have the ability to earn the prestigious IB Diploma. On top of providing academic advising and college guidance within the context of the IB Diploma Programme, she has also attended IB training at the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies at Rice University.
Leanne has served as a 504 Coordinator for her school, guiding many students and families through the process of applying for standardized testing accommodations and identifying colleges that serve the unique needs of a student.
