Jeffrey R. Platt, concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, banking, employment litigation, and international law. Formerly, Mr. Platt was an associate at Hinshaw & Culbertson in Chicago, where he handled the defense of Legal Malpractice claims involving underlying cases dealing with, Business Torts, Civil Rights, Contracts, Copyright, Corporate Law, Real Estate, RICO, Securities and Trademark matters. Prior to joining Ice Miller, LLP Mr. Platt was a partner at The Coman Law Group, P.C. for 14 years. Mr. Platt has served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Illinois Department of Public Health from 1994 – 1996. Mr. Platt has been on the Board of Directors of Metropolitan Family Services of DuPage County since 2010.
Mr. Platt received his Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in Economics from the University of Illinois in 1988. Mr. Platt obtained his Juris Doctor degree (with honors) from IIT Chicago Kent College of Law in 1991, and an LLM degree in International Law (with distinction) from Georgetown University Law Center in 1992.
